The Arizona Friends of Foster Children Foundation is all about kids — after all its entire mission is to create opportunities local foster youth so they can have a normal a childhood as possible. So it’s only natural that its annual fundraiser, the popular Slider Throwdown, taking place on Sunday, November 14 from noon to 3:00 p.m. at Hight Street, would be kid friendly!

The event, which features slider burger tastings from a variety of local food trucks and vendors, an epic battle of the burger among the food truck participants, also includes live music as well as a large kid zone area with skateboarding, sports activities, arts and crafts, drone experience, a petting zoo, face painting and more! So the whole family can come out and enjoy a day of fun, food and entertainment!

All proceeds from the event benefit the Arizona Friends of Foster Children Foundation (AFFCF), a non-profit organization dedicated to creating positive childhood experiences for youth in foster care and preparing them for successful adulthoods through programming and scholarships. The AFFCF needs the community’s help to continue this important work for the more than 13,000 children currently in foster care in the state.
