Kids Dojo, a nonprofit dedicated to building confidence through mountain biking with the mission to help kids be active, confident and healthy, is pleased to announce a strategic partnership with the East Valley Dream Center and The Arian’s Foundation. This partnership will provide kids in need in the Greater Phoenix area with access to the Kids Dojo programs, which build self-esteem and enable children to experience the great outdoors while keeping their heart healthy through an exercise they love and can do for life.

“We want children of all economic backgrounds to be able to experience the joy of riding and be able to participate in our programs,” says Rob Mylls, who 14 years ago founded Kids Dojo, which serves youth in California and Arizona. “We’ve recognized that after-school programs provide a much-needed safe space for youth. Our experience has shown that participating in fun, engaging and positive activities can help improve academic performance as well as have a positive impact on the physical and emotional health of children and adolescents.”

Kids Dojo teaches basic mountain biking skills to kids ages eight through 14 in a fun safe environment. The program is designed to meet each rider at their ability and enable them to flourish and become conscientious, controlled and confident cyclists.

Supporters can help make a difference in a child’s life through a donation to the inaugural Dream to Ride Fundraiser. All proceeds go towards after-school mountain biking scholarships for East Valley Dream Center kids. The public is also invited to join Kids Dojo at Chandler BMX Park on Saturday, Nov. 25 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Kids Dojo will provide use of bikes and helmets during this fun introduction to mountain biking!
