“Einstein the Penguin”

Genre: Fiction

Summary: This book is about Einstein, a penguin who the Stewarts met at a zoo. Einstein is a penguin who is discovered by Arthur, the younger child of the Stewarts. Then, Imogen, the older child of the Stewarts, discovers Einstein too. Einstein, being Einstein, follows them home. From there, they have a wild adventure to rescue a friend, make some friends (and enemies) along the way, and become detectives who will blow the world’s mind.

What I Like About this book: I like that Imogen and Arthur show kindness to Einstein. I also like that Imogen and Arthur don’t give up on finding the friend, even when things are hard. This book is the first out of three and is a very good book. It is a mystery book, and it gets the readers hooked. With every page the reader turns, they are thinking, “what is gonna happen next?” I love this book and give it five out of five stars.

“Rock Star: How Ursula Marvin Mapped Moon Rocks and Meteorites”

Genre: Non-Fiction

Summary: This book is about Ursula Marvin, who as a young girl loved watching the mountains in the night and how pretty they looked. She grew up to love studying moon rocks from the Apollo missions under microscopes in college. When her professor told her biology wasn’t for girls, she just went to a different school. This girl clearly wouldn’t take no for an answer! Marvin traveled to Antarctica to look for moon rocks and meteorites. She helped her team find the first moon rock on Earth and changed the way we understand space today.

What I Like About this book: I like that this book shows you to never give up and follow your dreams. When that professor told her no, she didn’t care! She didn’t let anyone stop her from being the amazing, inspiring person we look up to today!

“Love, Santa”

Genre: Nonfiction

Summary: This is a Christmas book about a young girl who writes a letter to Santa every year. Santa replies to her every year. This story shares the truth about Santa, and is a beautiful book.

What I Like About This Book: I like that this book shares the secret in a calm way, not in a harsh way that won’t be nice. The girl, Lucy, gets the secret in a nice way and the way her mom explains it is so beautiful. This book has letters you can actually take out and read.
