Walt Disney opened the gates to a dreamland 70 years ago – a place where children laughed, dreamed and played with their families. Now, Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, is treating itself to a 70th anniversary red-carpet reception, celebrating seven decades of smiles with spectacular new entertainment, vintage tributes, and surprises valley families can enjoy all summer — and throughout the year.

The Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration is a yearlong tribute featuring special entertainment, themed food and drink, limited-edition merchandise, and brand-new experiences throughout Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, the Downtown Disney District and three on-site hotels.

Guests are greeted with beautiful and vibrant colors, Sleeping Beauty Castle shimmers with celebratory flourishes, and whimsical references to Disneyland’s original 1955 attractions are included throughout both parks.

Among the top entertainment choices is also the return of the hit “Paint the Night” parade in Disneyland Park, which brings back amazing floats and more than a million brilliant LED lights. With that comes the return of “Wondrous Journeys,” a nighttime spectacular celebrating Walt Disney Animation Studios films combining fireworks, projections, and music in a memory to hold onto.

Disneyland Park also premieres two all-new performances: “The Celebrate Happy Cavalcade”, a colorful daytime parade of characters and performers, and “Tapestry of Happiness,” with music and nighttime projection effects on the façade of “it’s a small world” as a love letter to quintessential Disneyland attractions.

At Disney California Adventure Park, guests will enjoy the sunny “Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration!” parade, complete with well-known Pixar friends from “Toy Story,” “Turning Red,” “Coco,” and more. Nighttime brings the stunning new “World of Color: Happiness!” water, light and laser spectacle that celebrates happiness on Paradise Bay.

Guests can also enjoy special 70th Celebration treats, and retro-themed food inspired by the early days of Disneyland.

Anniversary merchandise includes must-haves like Spirit Jerseys, Minnie ears, collectible pins, and even retro-themed replica 1955 park tickets.

Advance reservations are highly recommended. To purchase Park Hopper tickets, reserve hotel packages, or review anniversary options, visit www.disneyland.com/offers.
